The market

Northern Virginia is the largest data center market in the world by installed capacity. CBRE's H1 2026 report puts primary-market inventory there at about 4,496 MW with vacancy near 0.2%, and roughly 2,420 MW under construction.

That much construction on a near-zero vacancy market means cabling phases run back-to-back and every general contractor and integrator in the region is drawing on the same local labor pool.

Where we work

Ashburn, Sterling and Leesburg in Loudoun County; Manassas and Gainesville in Prince William County; and newer sites further out such as Culpeper. Campuses range from multi-building hyperscale builds to colocation fit-outs inside existing shells.

What Northern Virginia builds need from a crew

• Speed to badge. Campus security and badging here is mature and strict. We submit paperwork the day the scope is signed so badging does not become the critical path.
• High-count backbone. Campus and inter-building fiber on these sites is high-count ribbon cable, which needs ribbon splicing crews, not general cabling labor.
• Live-environment discipline. Many jobs are expansions next to live halls. Crews work under MOP and change control from day one.
• Density. Data halls here are dense with pre-terminated MPO trunks — polarity and labeling errors multiply fast.

Crews fly into Washington Dulles, which sits in the middle of the Loudoun cluster. Lodging is booked within about thirty minutes of the site. Standard rotation is 21 days on and 7 off, on 12-hour day or night shifts.
