Why we exist
Data center construction has plenty of work but too few hands, especially the specialist hands that splice high-count fiber, land dense MPO trunks and test thousands of links before a walkthrough. General contractors and integrators who win a phase rarely have that crew sitting on the bench, and the usual answer is a scramble: a dozen individual technicians from several states, each with their own gaps, schedule and invoice.
Hardline replaces the scramble with a crew.
How we work
- Crews, not résumés. Every crew is built around a foreman, and we keep the same people together through the rotation.
- One rate. Travel, per diem, lodging and tooling are stated on the face of the quote.
- One point of contact. The foreman takes daily direction on sequence from your superintendent. We stay responsible for the crew: pay, attendance and replacements, and handle travel, lodging and insurance behind the scenes.
- Numbers, daily. Production reported every shift.
- Honest scoping. If a job is not a fit (wrong skill, union site, unrealistic date), we say so in the first call.
Who runs it
I'm Yan Sorochenko, the founder. Hardline is based in San Jose.
I got into this business by watching a hyperscale build up close. About a hundred people on site every day, one hall turned over in roughly six weeks. The work got done. Staffing it was the hard part, and the same problems kept coming back: crews pulled together at the last minute, techs leaving after one rotation, and nobody in particular accountable for the group.
Hardline is built the other way around. A foreman who owns the crew. Rotations people can plan their lives around. A rate agreed before anyone travels. And one number you can call.
If a job isn't a fit for us, I'll tell you on the first call.
