HOW ENGAGEMENTS WORK

Commercial terms for systems integrators, electrical and low-voltage contractors, national cabling firms and data center general contractors.

PRICING

BLENDED HOURLY OR PER-UNIT

BLENDED HOURLY

One rate covering the foreman and the technicians on the crew. Used when scope is fluid, change orders are expected, or production units cannot be defined yet. Straight time and overtime multipliers are stated on the quote.

PER-UNIT

Fixed price per splice, per drop, per cabinet or per other measurable unit named in the scope. Used when drawings are stable and counts are reliable. Overruns bill at the stated unit rate unless a change order revises the count.

INCLUDED IN RATE

Travel to site, per diem, lodging and standard hand tools are included unless the quote scopes them separately. Fusion splicers, OTDRs and certification testers are supplied per project scope and itemized when they are dedicated to your job.

NOT INCLUDED

Specialty PPE beyond standard construction PPE, badging fees charged by the site owner, and materials such as cable, connectors, enclosures and hardware unless the quote says otherwise.

ROTATIONS AND SHIFTS

21 ON / 7 OFF. 12-HOUR SHIFTS.

STANDARD ROTATION

Twenty-one days on site, seven days off. Handoffs between rotations are staggered so production never drops to zero. Alternate rotations are quoted when the site requires them.

SHIFT STRUCTURE

Twelve-hour shifts, day or night. Dual-shift coverage is available where headcount and site access allow. State your shift preference in the first message so the quote reflects it.

FOREMAN

Every crew has a working foreman. He reports to your superintendent, owns the daily production numbers, and is the one phone call you make about the crew.

INSURANCE AND COMPLIANCE

CERTIFICATES BEFORE MOBILIZATION

INSURANCE

General liability and workers' compensation certificates are issued before crews mobilize. Additional insured and waiver of subrogation endorsements are provided where the contract requires them.

SAFETY TRAINING

OSHA 10 is the baseline. OSHA 30, NFPA 70E and arc-flash awareness are carried where scope and site rules require them. Site-specific orientation runs on your schedule.

SCREENING

Background checks and drug screening are completed to the standard the site owner sets. Screening lead time belongs in the mobilization window, so tell us early.

EMPLOYMENT STRUCTURE

W-2 and 1099 crew structures are both available. The structure is named on the quote so payroll and insurance treatment are settled before day one.

BADGING AND SITE ACCESS

BADGING IS USUALLY THE CRITICAL PATH.

WHO DOES WHAT

We complete the paperwork and submit packages to the site owner or your badging coordinator. You provide sponsorship, forms and portal access.

LEAD TIME

Travel takes a day. Badging can take two weeks. Give us the current lead time and the mobilization window we quote will hold.

ESCORTS AND ZONES

Live white space and MMR work follows your change control and escort rules. Crews do not improvise access.
