Why compare fully loaded cost
A provider with a lower hourly rate that excludes travel, per diem and lodging is often more expensive once those are added. Put every quote through the same calculation before you compare. See how our rates work.
Reading the result
- Cost per crew-day is the number to compare across providers and to put in your own bid.
- Overtime share tells you how much of the cost is driven by the rotation. Shorter shifts or a larger crew on fewer days can sometimes cost less for the same output.
- Travel share tells you whether a local crew would materially change the price.

- Why does overtime make such a difference?
- A 12-hour, 7-day rotation is 84 hours a week. Everything above 40 hours is typically paid at overtime rates, so more than half the hours on a standard rotation are overtime.
